Looks fantastic in person.

Went out one rainy morning and saw one round the curve right in front of my driveway. It was brand new, and little raindrops sailed off the crimson polish as it careened past. Gorgeous didn't even begin to describe it.

did lincoln finally decide to make the grill more subtle? or has it always been like that

nope. with the MKZ, they shifted from the waterfall/"baleen" grille to this sleeker design, said to imitate angel wings. I think they frame the logo quite nicely

you could say that about any new grille these days.

Pretty, yes, but there's your problem

Cool, now I don't hate lincolns styling as much, god that previous grill was soooo awful.

What's the problem?

Just a sarcastic expression saying that it's pretty, I'm just not a fan of (new) Lincolns

I want to like it. It's just too damn feline/feminine.
That design "language" would work great on a Mercury.

fugly!

oh cool, an MK something something.
I know more about cars than just about anyone I know personally. But I still have no idea what any Lincoln is named other than the navigator.
I feel like this is indicative of a pretty big problem.

grate idea!

The problem being that you're too lazy to learn the names?
And yet everyone remembers ATS, CTS, DTS, STS.

the problem is alphanumerics all starting with the same letter. The first letter is by far the most important one, that's just how memory works. And alphanumeric names only work when there's a system (e.g. Bmw and mercedes, though those systems have become broken as of late)
Infiniti and Lincoln are on my shitlist for their absolutely terrible naming practices. I'm sure it makes sense to the marketers in that company who eat sleep and breathe Lincoln/Infiniti, but for the rest of us, it's just a pain in the ass.
Btw, I'm not criticizing the actual products or the companies themselves, just the dumbasses who came up with their naming conventions.
